After another year packed with bold milestones and outstanding achievements — new partnerships, announcements, progress in the construction of the Verkor Innovation Centre, a fast-expanding team — all of us at Verkor are proud to celebrate its two-year anniversary with you.
Let’s take a look back at our second-year highlights.
Verkor is reaffirming its ambition to build towards a more sustainable future through its partnership with Sibanye-Stillwater to guarantee responsible and certified raw materials.
In its second year, Verkor aligned itself with key strategic and financial partners to access diverse markets and extend its range of high-performance batteries with Startec Energy and Plastic Omnium.
In its second year Verkor welcomed 120 new talents, all spurred on by the challenge to shift to cleaner energy, and by Verkor’s drive and ambition.
Today we are a multicultural company of 174 people from 26 different countries. Our people are our strength; their experience, knowledge and skills are what will make Verkor a success.
Verkor is recruiting more talents, and will reach the 250 mark by the end of the year. To join us on this adventure: https://verkor.com/en/join-our-team/.
The Verkor Innovation Centre
Operational from the end of 2022, the VIC is Verkor’s future headquarters. The R&D centre is already up and running, and there will soon be a pilot line for manufacturing battery cells, and a training centre for the next generation of engineers and technicians. There is another major milestone lined up for the year ahead. Sign up to our newsletter for updates: lien newsletter.
2025 will be a turning point for Verkor as it delivers the first battery cells to Renault Group for its electric Alpine range. The Verkor Gigafactory will have a production capacity of 16 Gwh/year to equip more than 300,000 electric vehicles every year.
In the space of two years, Verkor has hit strategic growth points, and our commitment is growing as we work towards achieving our next goal: building our Gigafactory in Dunkirk to step up low-carbon battery manufacturing in Europe.
More on this in September… Stay tuned!
Together, let’s build the mobility of tomorrow for a more sustainable future.
Batteries. Now. For the future.
