Verkor evolves its leadership to support its large-scale industrial production phase
As Verkor enters a new phase of large-scale industrial production, marked by the commissioning of the second production line at its Dunkirk Gigafactory and the delivery of the first batteries produced entirely on-site, the company is evolving its leadership. Laurent Debrue, currently Deputy Managing Director and COO, will become President and CEO of Verkor effective 1 September. Alongside this evolution, Benoit Lemaignan, cofounder and CEO since 2020, will join the Supervisory Board as Vice-Chairman. Verkor marks a key milestone in its industrial development and strengthens its governance
Grenoble – March 30, 2026 – As Verkor reaches a decisive milestone in its industrial development, the company is simultaneously strengthening its governance with the appointment of Jacques Esculier as President of its supervisory Board. Following the official inauguration of its Dunkirk Gigafactory in late 2025, Verkor announces that it has entered the final phase of its industrial ramp-up. Commissioning and product line balancing phases have been completed in record time. The Gigafactory is now entering the final validation phase: production lines are now fully optimized, stabilized, and running continuously.
