Verkor strengthens its partnership ecosystem<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Verkor is reaffirming its ambition to build towards a more sustainable future through its partnership with Sibanye-Stillwater to guarantee responsible and certified raw materials.<\/p>\n

Verkor welcomes international mining and metal processing group Sibanye-Stillwater as a new strategic investor<\/a> (March 2022)<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

In its second year, Verkor aligned itself with key strategic and financial partners to access diverse markets and extend its range of high-performance batteries with Startec Energy and Plastic Omnium.<\/p>\n

February 2022<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

Verkor selects Dunkirk for its first Gigafactory.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

March 2022: <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Verkor officially announces the location of its Verkor Innovation Centre \u2013 VIC<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

May 2022: <\/strong><\/p>\n

Launch of the preliminary consultation for the Verkor Gigafactory project in Bourbourg<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Verkor teams grow <\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

In its second year Verkor welcomed 120 new talents, all spurred on by the challenge to shift to cleaner energy, and by Verkor\u2019s drive and ambition.<\/p>\n

Today we are a multicultural company of 174 people from 26 different countries. Our people are our strength; their experience, knowledge and skills are what will make Verkor a success.<\/p>\n

What’s next for Verkor? <\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Verkor Innovation Centre <\/strong><\/p>\n

Operational from the end of 2022, the VIC is Verkor’s future headquarters. The R&D centre is already up and running, and there will soon be a pilot line for manufacturing battery cells, and a training centre for the next generation of engineers and technicians. Gigafactory <\/strong><\/p>\n

2025 will be a turning point for Verkor as it delivers the first battery cells to Renault Group for its electric Alpine range. The Verkor Gigafactory will have a production capacity of 16 Gwh\/year to equip more than 300,000 electric vehicles every year.<\/p>\n

In the space of two years, Verkor has hit strategic growth points, and our commitment is growing as we work towards achieving our next goal: building our Gigafactory in Dunkirk to step up low-carbon battery manufacturing in Europe.<\/p>\n
