There also exists a risk of\u00a0future\u00a0strategic and economic reliance on China for battery supply, replacing\u00a0today\u2019s\u00a0dependence on OPEC for oil.<\/p>\n<p>The challenge for\u00a0Europe\u00a0is to\u00a0not\u00a0miss this revolution and to be able to quickly supply the electric\u00a0vehicle\u00a0market\u00a0on its soil.\u00a0At\u00a0Verkor,\u00a0we\u00a0have\u00a0set out on this mission to\u00a0accelerate the production capacity of low-carbon batteries in southern Europe to meet growing demand for electric vehicles and stationary storage.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>The Essence\u00a0of Verkor\u2019s Identity<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Verkor\u2019s\u00a0founding\u00a0team along with the support of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.labbrand.com\/\">Labbrand<\/a>\u00a0embarked\u00a0on a\u00a0quest\u00a0to\u00a0create\u00a0a name\u00a0that embodies\u00a0our culture and\u00a0values.<\/p>\n<p>While formulating the overarching creative strategy for the development of brand naming, our\u00a0intention\u00a0was to\u00a0create\u00a0a\u00a0lasting impression with a name that is disruptive,\u00a0modern and transcends its\u00a0primary\u00a0function as a company\u00a0name.\u00a0We wished to build a narrative that\u00a0is rooted in fact yet\u00a0goes\u00a0beyond the framework to tell a fresh story.\u00a0The\u00a0goal was\u00a0to shape an identity that\u00a0strikes\u00a0a balance between\u00a0scientific\u00a0and human.<\/p>\n<p>Once we had all the pieces\u00a0for our naming puzzle in place, we held a series of workshops to align information about our mission, vision, and values in order to establish the creative brief and its main implications.<\/p>\n<p><em>Olivier Dufour, Co-Founder &amp; Head of Stakeholder Engagement, reflects on the process of building our brand identity:<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe naming process has been an excellent first exercise for internal cohesion, giving the opportunity to share values, priorities, vision, to highlight the richness of our diversity and cultural differences and to finally align and engage around a common direction with an impactful name that reflects\u00a0who we are. Entirely done during the lockdown in spring 2020, using remote tools only, the challenge was overcome through a true collaborative work.<\/p>\n<p>Launched in July 2020, Verkor settled strongly and q<i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">uickly in the landscape, and the brand name, with its strength, impact and ease of memorization contributed greatly.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Why Verkor?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-leveltext=\"\u2666\" data-font=\"Courier New\" data-listid=\"4\" aria-setsize=\"-1\" data-aria-posinset=\"1\" data-aria-level=\"1\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><span>Taking root in three European languages, the name is built from \u201cvert\u201d meaning green in French and \u201ccore\u201d in English to evoke the cells and the energy concentration. The monogram represents the initials of the VERKOR syllables in capital letters.<\/p>\n<p>The graphical rupture of the letter V emits a visible lightning bolt and a check sign, both of which evoke power and a new positive worldview. This movement ensures the logo&#8217;s originality and recognition.<\/p>\n<p>The choice of colour\u00a0aptly\u00a0encapsulates our \u2018faire corps&#8217; spirit, which is to operate as a unit through the power of collective intelligence.
