As Verkor enters a new phase of large-scale industrial production, marked by the commissioning of the second production line at its Dunkirk Gigafactory and the delivery of the first batteries produced entirely on-site, the company is evolving its leadership.\u00a0Laurent Debrue<\/strong>, currently Deputy Managing Director and COO, will become\u00a0President and CEO of Verkor effective 1 September.<\/strong>\u00a0Alongside this evolution,\u00a0Benoit Lemaignan<\/strong>, cofounder and CEO since 2020,\u00a0will join the Supervisory Board as Vice-Chairman<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Laurent Debrue<\/strong>\u00a0will take overall responsibility for the company and lead Verkor through this new phase of large-scale industrial production. Having overseen the company\u2019s industrialisation, the start of the ramp-up of the Dunkirk Gigafactory and the preparation for commercial production, he will steer Verkor\u2019s strategy and be responsible for its overall performance.<\/p>\n

As Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board,\u00a0Benoit Lemaignan<\/strong>\u00a0will continue to contribute to Verkor\u2019s long-term development by supporting strategic partnerships, major financing initiatives and engagement with key stakeholders. He will remain actively involved in supporting the company\u2019s strategic direction and vision.<\/p>\n

Since its creation in 2020, Verkor has secured more than \u20ac3 billion in financing, established a strong industrial footprint in Grenoble and Dunkirk, and is now entering its phase of large-scale industrial production. This leadership evolution is designed to support the company\u2019s next phase of execution and growth.<\/p>\n
