Grenoble \u2013\u00a0March 30, 2026\u00a0\u2013\u00a0As\u00a0Verkor\u00a0reaches a decisive milestone in its industrial development, the company is simultaneously strengthening its governance with the appointment of Jacques\u00a0Esculier\u00a0as President of its\u00a0supervisory Board.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Following the official inauguration of its Dunkirk Gigafactory in late 2025,\u00a0Verkor\u00a0announces that it has entered the final phase of\u00a0its industrial ramp-up.\u00a0Commissioning and\u00a0product line balancing\u00a0phases have been completed in record time. The Gigafactory is now entering the final validation phase: production lines are now fully optimized, stabilized, and\u00a0running\u00a0continuously.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Serial production is expected to begin within the next few months.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This milestone establishes\u00a0Verkor\u00a0as a fully-fledged European industrial player in a sector that is key to energy transition and industrial sovereignty. As the company enters this new phase of growth,\u00a0Verkor\u00a0also announced that\u00a0Jacques\u00a0Esculier\u00a0is joining its\u00a0team.\u00a0His high-level industrial and governance experience is a major asset in supporting\u00a0Verkor\u00a0through this new phase, working alongside the management team and\u00a0fellow Board members.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Jacques\u00a0Esculier\u00a0succeeds Bart de Beer as President of the\u00a0supervisory Board.\u00a0Verkor\u00a0acknowledges the commitment and\u00a0expertise\u00a0of Bart de Beer, whose contributions have been crucial to\u00a0Verkor’s\u00a0initial\u00a0structuring\u00a0and development. The\u00a0supervisory Board’s mission is to define the company’s strategic direction and oversee its general management, providing\u00a0oversight\u00a0and\u00a0strategic\u00a0guidance to the President-Chief Executive Officer and\u00a0Verkor\u00a0co-founder, Benoit Lemaignan.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Biography of\u00a0Jacques\u00a0Esculier<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Jacques\u00a0Esculier\u00a0has an accomplished international career in industry.\u00a0He held general management and board presidency positions at WABCO Holdings Inc., where he led the group’s transformation until its sale to ZF.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Prior to WABCO, Jacques\u00a0Esculier\u00a0held several management positions at major international industrial groups, notably at American Standard \/ Trane, where he directed multi-regional industrial operations, and at AlliedSignal \/ Honeywell, where he held general management responsibilities in aerospace and industrial systems. He has also led transformation and turnaround projects for industrial companies in complex and highly capital-intensive environments.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
